Olena and Olena — mother and daughter
It all started in 2005 in Vidradny, Kyiv.
The Sonechko store was founded by our mother, Olena. Later the second Olena — her daughter — joined the business. So an ordinary children’s store gradually became a true family project: alongside school uniforms, shoes and toys came carnival costumes, party dresses, accessories and outfit rentals for children’s celebrations.
Today Sonechko is a family business run by mother and daughter. Over the years more than one generation of children has grown up: sometimes grandmothers come to us who once bought things here for their own children, and now choose costumes and dresses for their grandchildren.
We don’t just work with products — we work with childhood memories.
Not just rentals — a creative space.
Over the years Sonechko has become not only a store and rental service, but also a creative space. We create our own looks, take part in children’s fashion shows, collaborate with handcraft artisans and constantly look for new ideas for children’s celebrations.
A special place in our story belongs to charitable and social projects. One of the warmest was a show featuring children with special needs, where we acted as the outfit designers. For us it was more than a runway — it was another proof that a beautiful dress or costume can give a child confidence, joy and unforgettable emotions.

Together with the country — through everything.
Together with our country we have lived through many difficult years. During the COVID-19 pandemic children’s celebrations, parties and graduations almost disappeared. It seemed our line of work might simply come to a halt.
Then came 24 February 2022. Like millions of Ukrainians, we did not know what lay ahead. But just two weeks after the full-scale invasion began, the store opened its doors to visitors again. We saw how much children need positive emotions even in hard times.
That is why we kept working, creating new looks and helping families organise celebrations. And we continue to do so today.
We don’t chase the cheapest range.
Most of the clothing and footwear in our store comes from Ukrainian manufacturers we have worked with for many years. We pay close attention to fabric quality, tailoring and the comfort of children’s models. That is why we offer items in the mid and mid-premium segment — the ones we would happily choose for our own children and grandchildren.
We believe children’s clothing should be beautiful, comfortable and of good quality. And for over twenty years we have not strayed from this principle.
